Editorial standards & legal notices
How LMJ publishes source-linked information and explains the limits of its website tools.
Original writing and citations
LMJ articles are independently written summaries. Each article identifies the external sources used so readers can inspect them directly. LMJ does not republish full third-party articles, images or product literature without permission.
Source selection
We prioritize government agencies and safety regulators, plus product labels, technical data sheets and established manufacturers for product-specific application guidance. A link is not an endorsement, sponsorship or partnership.
Advertising claims
Service, price and performance claims should be accurate, specific and supported. Planning ranges are labeled as estimates and are not guarantees. The final written scope and price provided by LMJ control.
Reviews and testimonials
LMJ should publish only authentic customer feedback, disclose material relationships, and never buy fake reviews, condition an incentive on positive sentiment, suppress reviews deceptively or use fake social indicators. A request for an honest review must allow any genuine opinion.
Review and corrections
Articles display a review date. Sources and rules can change, and external links may move. If you identify an error, call (904) 319-3317 so LMJ can review and correct it.
Independent product design
LMJ develops its estimator interface, workflow, calculations and written content independently. Third-party trademarks, screenshots, proprietary pricing tables, private datasets and copied software workflows are not part of the product. Public facts and government benchmarks are identified by source.
Website information is general
The website does not provide legal, medical, environmental, engineering, code-compliance or individualized safety advice. Do not rely on it as a substitute for product instructions, current law, permits, inspections or advice from a qualified professional. Stop work and seek qualified help when conditions are unsafe, unknown or outside your experience.
Estimate and scheduling terms
A calculator result or “pre-approved for LMJ review” status is only a preliminary planning range. It is not credit or financing approval, a binding offer, a contract, an appointment confirmation, authorization to begin work or a guarantee of price, coverage, materials or completion time. A project proceeds only after LMJ and the customer approve a final written scope, price, schedule and applicable terms. No payment is processed by the planning tool.
Premium Estimator terms
Premium Estimator calculations depend on measurements, production rates, labor costs, material costs, coverage assumptions, taxes, markup, risk selections and other information entered by the user. LMJ does not guarantee that a calculated price will be profitable, accepted, legally sufficient or appropriate for a particular job. Users must independently verify measurements, product specifications, permit and licensing requirements, taxes, insurance, hazards and contract terms. The tool does not provide legal, tax, accounting, engineering, environmental or safety advice.
State and local planning factors are editable business assumptions, not official price schedules. Selecting a state does not certify compliance. Requirements can vary by city, county, project type, contract amount and customer, so users must confirm current rules with the responsible government agency and qualified advisers.
Membership billing and cancellation
Premium membership begins with the trial displayed at checkout. Unless canceled before the trial or current billing period ends, the selected payment method is charged $19.99 monthly or $199 annually and the membership renews for the same interval. Members can use “Manage billing / cancel” inside their Premium account to stop future renewals. Cancellation does not reverse charges already properly incurred. Any refund required by applicable law remains available regardless of these terms. LMJ may suspend access for failed payment, misuse, security threats or material violation of these terms.
Electronic transactions and payments
A typed approval, checkbox acceptance, electronic signature or online payment may create a legally significant record. Customers should review the complete scope, exclusions, price, deposit, schedule and cancellation terms before approving. Card and bank information is entered with the payment processor and is not stored in LMJ’s application database. Payment confirmation does not expand the written scope of work.
Official references behind these standards
Last reviewed September 4, 2026. These notices reduce ambiguity but do not eliminate legal risk. LMJ should have a licensed Florida attorney review final customer contracts, privacy practices, marketing claims and payment terms before relying on them commercially.
